Kate Weigel was born in Eastern Maine, USA and lived a beautiful childhood in the woods playing with fairies and building forts. She went to Brewer High School, where she studied art, among other things, and gained a strong theater background. She moved to New York City in 2010 to attend New York University for Studio Art with a concentration in sculpture. Since then she has traveled the world teaching and making art. She currently works at the Columbus Learning Cooperative in Columbus, Ohio.
